One of the goals of science is to give back to the community what we learn through the scientific process.
In our lab, we seek to do that in different ways.

Science Communication

Anahí is a regular blogger for the Maryland Grows Blog, the blog of the UMD Extension Home and Garden Information Center. Her blogs talk about things directly and indirectly related to pollination... this blogging has become one of the regular happy moments in Anahí's life. :)
Y como le da tanta alegría, Anahí ahora ha combinado su identidad Latina con su conocimiento y pasión por la comunicación, y ahora también escribe blogs en español en su blog Extensión en Español :D :D :D

And talking about pollination... we have been also contributing to Extension journals, such as the Maryland Agronomy News, where we present topics on pollination, and how it affects our ability to produce and get sufficient food.
Sometimes we enjoy translating our academic research in ways that the general public can also understand it. We had the chance to work along with the Science Breaker to reach new audiences. You can check out our contribution here |
